ThermoDew collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

Thermal images and readings are processed on your phone. Snapshots are saved to your phone's gallery (DCIM/Camera) and go nowhere else unless you share them. Settings stay in the app.

Home Assistant

If you connect Home Assistant, ThermoDew talks only to the address you choose. You log in on Home Assistant's own page; the app never sees your password. It stores a login token, encrypted with a key held by Android's keystore, and uses it only to read the sensor states and history you selected. You can revoke it at any time in your Home Assistant profile under Refresh tokens, or with Disconnect in the app.

Network

ThermoDew connects to the internet only to reach your Home Assistant.

Permissions

USB, to use the thermal camera. Internet, only for the Home Assistant connection. Nothing else.

This website

The site is static and served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites. If you pick a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice locally; it is never sent anywhere. Cloudflare processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
